Around My World

I love to travel, never did that much when I was younger but now, all I do is work, save up and travel and when I travel, my aim is to cover as much land as possible... and of course, my camera comes with me... and sometimes my mountain bike does too!

Much of my travelling has been designed to allow me to visualise and enjoy Total Solar Eclipses of the Sun, but I also enjoy soaking up the local culture and mixing it up with the locals by doing voluntary work with SEN children and young adults... but most of all I am able to get my camera out and "click away" at mostly, landscapes.

Having seen a mixture of eclipses of which two were total eclipses, in 2010, I decided that as a part of both my emotional and spiritual development, that a trip to Australia to see the 2012 eclipse would be an amazing experience. I had two years to plan this trip. It set out as being a wedding venture whereby I proposed to my partner at midnight on the New Year’s Eve, down by the river on the 1st Jan 2011... I had made a promise, I had made a commitment - well that was the plan… and that plan led on to even bigger ideas, bigger projects and created some amazing stories, some good, some not so good but would not swap a thing, cos as they say - that's life.

All of the images that are being exhibited here and the bulk of those displayed on my web page are all from my own travels and is a personal collection from a series of photographs that I have taken myself.

SOUTH AMERICA ~

AFRICA

I see myself as a down to earth person who never forgets where he has come from so when I travel, I like to mix it up with the locals and that means interacting with their community and when possible, to share my skills with local children. My aims are to get a life education, to capture as much of life as I see it in as photographically as beautiful way as I can. Recently I have taken part in two major (well major for me) projects. These have some representation in my page SPECIAL PROJECTS.
